A.J. Styles devastated by Anderson
and Gallows WWE release
The
careers of professional wrestlers A.J. Styles, Karl Anderson, and
Luke “Doc” Gallows have been intertwined since 2014. The trio
began their working relationship in New Japan Pro Wrestling as part
of the Bullet Club, and when the WWE came calling in 2016, the trio
went together. Their careers have been so connected that Styles,
Anderson, and Gallows were all three set to join Impact prior to the
WWE offering them a deal they couldn’t refuse. Combat sports fans

Now,
with the WWE having nothing for Anderson and Gallows – despite

came on the tail end of owner Vince McMahon once again losing

While
Anderson
and Gallows are free agents
– and could be the biggest thing to hit AEW if they sign – Styles
must go it alone in the WWE. Following the release of Styles’
ex-Bullet Club partners, the “Phenomenal One” spoke during a
gaming stream about feeling “hurt” over the duo’s departure.
“The only way I can explain it is that these guys are my family and I couldn’t take care of my little brothers,” Styles explained. “I didn’t manage to do that and I feel responsible for them being released. It’s devastating.”
What is the future for Anders and
Gallows?
Although
Anderson and Gallows have long been one of the world’s best tag
teams, it is safe to say they were used and abused by the WWE’s
lacklustre writing staff for most of their WWE run. Yes, the Good
Brothers were two-time WWE Raw tag champions and the 2019 Tag Team
World Cup winners, but in recent time, the duo was merely fodder in
Styles’ feuds with other grapplers.
Prior
to joining the WWE, Anderson was a decorated singles competitor in
New Japan and one of the Bullet Club’s original members. Gallows
was put through the ringer with WWE developmental in the 2000s and
spent time as the mentally handicapped Festus before joining CM
Punk’s Straight Edge Society. He also worked for Impact before
catching the break of his career as a member of the Bullet Club in
2013.
The
Good Brothers dominated the New Japan tag team heavyweight ranks
winning the World Tag League in 2013 and lifting the IWGP Tag Team
titles on three occasions. Unfortunately, those years of success seem
far away, but they could still join AEW and become the biggest stars
the company has to offer.

days after their release, the Good Brothers and New Japan star Rocky
Romero brought back their former podcast Talk’n
Shop
on the MLW Radio Network. Prior to joining the WWE, the trio had a
cult following thanks to the original podcast that shed light on
their careers and working for New Japan.
After
their WWE release, Talk’
Shop hit No. 1 on Apple’s Sports Podcasts.
Unfortunately, on the episode, the duo does not go into detail about
its WWE release, so anyone wanting two disgruntled ex-employees
dissing the brand, won’t find it. This was perhaps due to hopes of
a return or a no-compete clause preventing them from discussing their
time in the company.
