Tonight’s AEW RAMPAGE & Battle Of The Belts IV was broadcast live from the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.!
It’s Friday and you know what that means!
Tonight’s announce team was Excalibur, Chris Jericho and Jim Ross.
Claudio Castagnoli, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, & Wheeler Yuta
vs.
Isiah Kassidy, Marq Quen, & Rush!
William Regal joined the commentary team for this match.
The Firm watched from the front row.
Kassidy and Yuta chain wrestled. Wheeler rolled up Kassidy for a near fall. Rush tagged in and taunted Moxley.
Moxley tagged in and he and Rush slugged it out in the center of the ring. Mox charged in with a high boot to Rush’s jaw. Moxley planted Rush with a stalling German suplex.
Marq Quen inadvertently kicked Rush when Moxley moved out of the way. Claudio tagged in and blasted Kassidy with a big European uppercut. Claudio used the giant swing on both members of Private Party!
Yuta connecting with a diving cross body press to Quen. Yuta splashed Kassidy but Rush was there to break up the pin attempt. Mox rocketed at Rush with a tope suicida! Claudio blocked the Silly String and countered with a massive European uppercut. Yuta made Quen tap out with an arm bar!
Varsity Blonds—Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman, Jr.
vs.
Josh Woods & Tony Nese!
Tony Schiavone joined the broadcast booth for this match.
Pillman chopped at Nese and isolated him in the corner. Garrison tagged in but was soon swarmed by Woods and Nese.
Pillman was shoved into the steel ring post. Nese and Woods used their tandem finisher and pinned Garrison.
Arn Anderson was watching on a monitor backstage.
“Smart” Mark Sterling entered the ring and said he had trademarked the term “Varsity” in professional wrestling. He said he is giving the name “Varsity Athletes” to Nese and Woods.
AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed interrupted Sterling and forced Woods, Nese, and Sterling to retreat…for now.
Madison Rayne & Skye Blue vs. Anna Jay A.S. & Tay Melo!
Madison rolled up Anna Jay for a near fall. Tay tagged in but Madison applied a wrist lock and then tagged in Skye. Tay swept out Skye’s leg on the apron and then pump kicked her.
Rayne cracked Anna with a kick to the back of the head. Skye used a diving cross body press on Anna Jay. Tay tagged in and spiked Skye with a piledriver. Anna Jay made Skye tap after locking on the Queen Slayer!
Main Event Time!
AEW World Trios Championship Match!
Death Triangle—PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo, & Rey Fenix (c.)
vs.
The Dark Order—Alex Reynolds, John Silver, & Ten!
Reynolds and Silver used stereo topes to PAC and Penta. Inside the ring, Rey Fenix was pancaked by Ten. Reynolds tagged in and dropped an elbow on Rey Fenix.
Rey Fenix made the tag to Penta and Penta quickly cleaned house on Dark Order. “The Bastard” PAC rocked Reynolds with a snapping German suplex. Death Triangle triple teamed Reynolds with dropkicks.
Penta El Zero Miedo yanked back on Reynolds’ arm. PAC suplexed Reynolds on the arena floor! Reynolds fired back with a double stomp to PAC’s back. Ten tagged in and wiped-out Death Triangle, running right over them.
Death Triangle regained momentum and began to pick apart Ten. John Silver grabbed a tag and he and PAC traded forearms and then pump kicks! Silver waffled PAC with a deadlift brainbuster!
Fenix was taken down with the Pendulum Bomb. Reynolds hoisted up Rey Fenix on the top turnbuckle. Fenix countered with a hurracanrana. Penta hit Silver with the backstabber. Dark Order rallied back and used their tandem offense on Penta for a near fall.
Jose the Assistant walked onto the ramp with an envelope for Ten. Rush handed a hammer to PAC. PAC knocked out Reynolds with the ring bell hammer and then ended the match with the Brutalizer on Reynolds.
Battle Of The Belts IV!
AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match!
PAC (c.) vs. Trent Beretta!
Trent clotheslined PAC over the top rope and to the floor. Trent followed up with a pescado. Trent bodyslammed PAC on the arena floor. Trent speared PAC on the outside!
Trent hit a high boot on PAC and then placed him on a table. Trent was going to jump off the ramp onto PAC but PAC moved off the table.
PAC got a second wind and delivered an avalanche brainbuster to Trent! PAC was turned inside out with a lariat from Trent.
Trent planted PAC with a piledriver for a near fall.
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome! This is awesome!”
PAC drilled Trent with a brainbuster off the ramp and through a table!
PAC went for the Black Arrow but Trent had it scouted and raised his knees! PAC blocked a spear from Trent with a knee. Trent cradled PAC for a near fall.
Trent threw PAC off the top turnbuckle with a half and half. PAC was like a Pitbull, though, and locked on the Brutalizer. Trent forced the break by reaching the ropes with his boots.
PAC grabbed the ring bell hammer and hit Trent between the eyes. The ref didn’t see it and PAC pinned Trent.
Orange Cassidy ran out to the ring for retribution, taking out his anger and frustration on PAC!
“Orange Cassidy has returned and he is looking for revenge,” said Excalibur.
Tony Schiavone was backstage to interview Chris Jericho, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker!
Matt and Angelo said they were disappointed in Daniel Garcia. Jericho said he’d beat Danielson on DYNAMITE next week.
TBS Championship Match!
Jade Cargill (c.) (with The Baddies) vs. Willow Nightingale!
“Absolute” Ricky Starks joined the commentary team for this match.
Jade kicked Willow in the midsection. Willow answered with a shotgun dropkick and then a suplex.
Willow shoved Jade to the arena floor. Willow was hoisted up and planted on the arena steps by Jade! Back in the ring Willow splashed Jade with a cannonball.
Cargill walloped Willow with Jaded and then pinned her!
Vickie Guerrero walked onto the ramp and distracted Jade and the Baddies. Nyla Rose grabbed Jade’s championship and ran off with it!
FTW Champ HOOK was backstage with Lexy Nair.
HOOK ripped up the envelope that the Trustbusters gave him last week.
ROH World Tag Team Championship Match!
FTR—Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood (c.)
vs.
The Gates of Agony—Kaun & Toa Liona (with Prince Nana)!
The Gunn Club were dressed as FTR, making fun of them as FTR made their entrance.
Kaun pushed Dax back to the corner. Dax hit a shoulder tackle on Kaun, but Kaun fired back with a big, meaty clothesline.
Liona ran in but Dax and Cash made him pay with stiff strikes. Cash tagged in and Kaun began to chop him. Toa tagged in and bodyslammed Cash. Toa headbutted the back of Cash Wheeler.
Toa tried to spear Cash outside the ring but Cash sidestepped it, sending Toa crashing into the ringside barricade. Back in the ring, Toa sent Dax flying with a huge Samoan drop! Dax tried for a crossbody press but Toa caught him. Cash dropkicked Toa, assisting his partner.
FTR spiked Kaun with a stuffed piledriver! FTR smashed Toa with the Big Rig! After Prince Nana jumped on the ring apron, Dax pinned Kaun using a backslide.
“The Machine” Brian Cage ran out to the ring and the Embassy began to beat down FTR. TNT Champ Wardlow came down to even up the odds and help FTR. Samoa Joe ran down to the ring and forced The Embassy to retreat!
