AEW RAMPAGE was broadcast from the sold-out Prudential Center in Newark, NJ!

Tonight’s RAMPAGE broadcast team is “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz, “Absolute” Ricky Starks, “Demo God” Chris Jericho, and Excalibur!

It’s Friday and you know what that means!

Kicking things off—an AEW World Tag Team Championship Match!

AEW World Tag Team Champs The Lucha Bros—Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo (with Alex Abrahantes) vs. #1 ranked The Butcher & The Blade (with “Big Money” Matt Hardy and the HFO)!

“These two teams know each other so well,” said Excalibur.

The Lucha Bros used an assisted splash on The Butcher for a near fall. Penta El Zero Miedo chopped away at The Butcher’s chest but The Butcher fired back with a massive meat hook of a punch!

Penta El Zero Miedo hit sling blade clotheslines on The Butcher and The Blade. Rey Fenix jumped off the top rope to the outside onto The Butcher and Penta El Zero Miedo continued the aerial assault onto Blade!

Penta El Zero Miedo used a monkey flip, tossing Blade into the Butcher! Rey Fenix tagged in and hit a German suplex on Butcher. He followed up with a German suplex on Blade for a near fear! They connected with the Fear Factor but Butcher made the save for his tag partner Blade.

Blade powerslammed Penta El Zero Miedo for a near fall.

“Almost new champions,” said Excalibur of The Butcher and The Blade.

Blade tied Penta El Zero Miedo’s mask into the ropes, isolating him in the corner. The Butcher and The Blade assaulted Rey Fenix as Penta El Zero Miedo was all tied up!

“Some bar room brawlers straight out of Buffalo,” said Jericho.

Penta El Zero Miedo took off his mask, while still concealing his identity, to come to the aid of his brother. Rey Fenix finished off Blade for the pin!

Private Party and the rest of HFO jumped in to continue the assault after the match on the Lucha Bros, but then Santana and Ortiz sprinted to the ring to even up the odds for Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix!

Up Next: Dark Order’s Anna Jay (accompanied by Tay Conti) vs. The Bunny (with Penelope Ford and Matt Hardy)!

Anna Jay and The Bunny immediately began brawling outside the ring! Anna Jay suplexed The Bunny outside the ring! Anna Jay hit The Bunny with a Northern Lights suplex!

“Right now Anna Jay is in control of The Bunny,” said Taz.

They traded forearms outside the ring and The Bunny blasted Anna Jay’s shoulder with a thrust kick! The Bunny rammed Anna Jay into the ringside barricade! The Bunny was trying to pull Anna Jay’s shoulder out of the socket!

Back in the ring, Anna Jay used a flipping neck breaker for a near fall on The Bunny, but Anna’s shoulder was clearly bothering her. Penelope Ford jumped on the apron trying to distract Anna Jay but Tay Conti wasn’t having any of it! Tay pulled Penelope back down. The plan backfired on Penelope Ford and The Bunny—Anna rolled up The Bunny and pinned her!

After the match, Penelope Ford pulled out a pair of brass knuckles and rocked Tay Conti and Anna Jay with knockout shots!

Tony Schiavone was in the ring with Matt Hardy and Jack Evans.

“I’m pissed off Tony. But I’m going to have the last laugh. There’s a fan dressed in the front row dressed as Orange Cassidy and he’s pissing me off!”

Matt Hardy approached the fan who was cosplaying as Orange Cassidy. Hardy yanked the fan over the barricade and slammed him into the ring. Jack Evans held down the fan as Matt Hardy cut the pony tail off the fan! Jack Evans pulled out a pair of trimmers and shaved the fan’s head!

Orange Cassidy’s music hit and he came down to the ring, clearing out Matt Hardy and Jack Evans!

“The message they sent—Matt Hardy wants to go after Orange Cassidy’s hair,” said Jericho.

“He wants Orange deleted from AEW,” added Excalibur.

AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D and Ruby Soho had a face-to-face interview conducted by Tony Schiavone ahead of their upcoming match on DYNAMITE next week!

“Ruby, welcome to some TV time. But before we get to that, let’s talk about why you’re here. It’s not for my title and it’s not for all these fans. It’s for you. Because you’re still trying to figure out who you are.

“How many times have you changed your name in the last year? You’re desperately trying to fit in. Whereas here, everyone knows who I am,” said Britt Baker.

Ruby: “Of course they know who you are. You remind them every week. You shove it down their throats. I know you’re not accustomed to being told you’re wrong, but you are wrong. I know exactly who the hell I am. Up until now, I just haven’t had the freedom to prove it.

“But let’s flip the script here. Let’s talk about you, Britt. On the surface you look like every other broad that I stepped across the ring from: entitled, self-centered, and banging some dude in the back. And it turns out that you’re just that. I’m just trying to figure out if there’s anything more.”

Baker: “And I’m trying to figure out why you’re lying to everyone, including yourself. Because you have the audacity to call yourself ‘the runaway’. You didn’t run away from anything—you got fired.”

“I did, but it turns out it was the best damn thing that happened to me. Because it brought me here to AEW and in this ring, looking into your eyes, Britt. And I want you to look into my eyes, but it must be hard with your head so far up Tony Khan’s ass.

“You can call yourself all these nicknames, but after DYNAMITE next week when I beat your ass in New York City and take your title, the one thing you won’t be able to call yourself is AEW Women’s World Champion,” added Soho.

Britt tried to take a cheap shot at Ruby Soho but Ruby dodged it!

“That is what we call a money segment,” said Chris Jericho.

Main Event Time!

TNT Title Championship Match!

TNT Champion “The Redeemer” Miro vs. Fuego Del Sol!

Fuego put his new car on the line in order to entice Miro into one more match against him!

Fuego used a drop step to get behind Miro. He tried a chop to Miro’s chest and then followed up with kicks. Fuego pulled down the top rope and Miro went over it to the arena floor. Fuego tried for a pescado but Miro caught him! Miro plucked Fuego out of midair and flung him overhead, backwards, with Fuego crashing hard onto the arena floor!

Miro began to toy with Fuego Del Sol in the ring, hurling him with huge hip tosses. Miro smashed Fuego with a running elbow, landing squarely on Fuego’s chest!

Fuego blindsided Miro with a kick to the head.

“The longer he lasts, the more confidence he’s getting,” said Jericho.

Fuego spring boarded off the ropes but Miro swatted him out of the air like a wasp!

“That about knocked his jaw loose,” said Taz.

Fuego slipped out of a DDT from Miro and then Fuego hit a double foot stomp on Miro! Fuego signaled for the tornado DDT but Miro was done playing games and began to beat the hell out of Fuego with fists!

“I feel like Miro feels like he’s getting disrespected out here,” said Taz.

Miro waffled Fuego with two pump kicks to the head, and then he pinned Fuego.

“Still TNT Champion and still undefeated is Miro,” said Excalibur.

Miro took Fuego’s car keys and rammed them in Fuego’s throat. Miro locked on the Game Over submission! “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara ran down to the ring and nailed Miro with a knee strike! Sammy hoisted up Miro’s TNT Championship!

“We could be seeing the makings of the next TNT Championship match before our eyes,” said Excalibur.

“I know Sammy like the back of my hand. Look out ‘God’s favorite champion’. You could be in trouble,” added Chris Jericho.
