Alex Gracia was granted a second chance to prove she deserved a spot in the ROH Women’s World Title Tournament this summer, and “The Pink Dream” made the most of it.

She defeated the tough and talented Gia Scott on this week’s episode of Women’s Division Wednesday on YouTube and was awarded a ticket to gold by ROH Board of Directors member Maria Kanellis-Bennett via Zoom call.

After losing a hard-fought match to Willow on Women’s Division Wednesday four weeks ago, Gracia — along with her loyal fans, the Pink Dreamers — publicly appealed to Kanellis-Bennett for another opportunity. Kanellis-Bennett told Gracia she was worthy of another shot.

Gracia was originally scheduled to take part in the tournament last year before it was called off because of the pandemic. With Kanellis-Bennett taking over control of the women’s division this year, no one announced for the previous tournament was guaranteed a spot.

“It’s crazy how full circle everything has come,” Gracia said on her call with Kanellis-Bennett. “The first time around when Ring of Honor was trying to set this tournament up, I was one of the first names announced in the tournament. And you’re just waiting there anxiously because you’re just like, ‘OK, I know there’s so much good talent out there and I know a lot has changed in a year.’

“Just seeing the names being announced, you’re so excited for them, but you’re a little bit heartbroken every time you hear a name announced because you’re like, ‘Man, I really want one of those names to be me.’”

Gracia, who made her pro debut in 2018, is a graduate of the Texas Wrestling Academy, which was formerly run by Shawn Michaels and has produced stars such as Bryan Danielson, Brian Kendrick and Paul London.

She has competed for Stardom in Japan and several promotions in Mexico. Gracia also is a former holder of the women’s championship in Reality of Wrestling, the Texas-based independent promotion owned by Booker T.

Here’s the updated list of competitors in the tournament:

— Angelina Love
— Rok-C
— Miranda Alize
— Trish Adora
— Allysin Kay
— Mazzerati
— Willow
— Mandy Leon
— Nicole Savoy
— Max The Impaler
— Alex Gracia
