Another “Winner Take All” Match Proposed By WWE Champions

April 10, 2019

We saw Becky Lynch walk out of the “Winner Take All” match at WrestleMania 35 as the holder of both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championships. Another “Winner Take All” match was then booked for the following night for RAW After Mania involving the newly crowned Universal and World Heavyweight Champions Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston. The match however was interrupted by The Bar and turned into a tag team contest instead.

It seems as though another “Winner Take All” match is now being teased after last night’s episode of SmackDown Live with saw The Hardy Boyz capture the SDLive Tag Team Titles from The Usos. Following their title win last night, a member of the RAW Tag Team Champions Zack Ryder sent out a tweet teasing a potential Champion vs Champion match between The Hardys and The Major Brothers. Ryder tweeted, “Major Brothers vs. Hardy Boyz?”

This quickly drew a response from Matt Hardy who then teased the possible “Winner Take All” match next week in Montreal. Hardy wrote:

“Winners Take All in Montreal?

Gotta helluva ring to it, we’re down! #RAW #SDLive”

With the Superstar Shake-Up scheduled for next week, it is already promising to be a very interesting couple days of WWE TV. With WWE unifying the Women’s Titles already, many speculated that this could be a sign that the brand split was coming to an end. However, with WWE announcing the Shake-Up for next week, it wouldn’t make much sense to end the brand split now.

We will have to see exactly what WWE has in mind next week or the Superstar Shake-Up, and if the company does potentially book another Winner Take All match, this time for the Tag Team Titles.
