Booker T Calls Rhea Ripley A Female Hulk Hogan

December 14, 2021

Booker T seems to have high praise for the former RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. On Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, he compared her to fellow WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.

Booker T said, “You know, man, I look at Rhea Ripley like Hulk Hogan. That’s what she’s like. She’s like the female Hulk Hogan. She’s a money machine, she’s a draw. I like her in a tag team thing, maybe they’re shielding her, saving her (for a different storyline), one of those type of deals. She’s definitely a star, a major star.” (h/t to SportsKeeda for the transcription)

Rhea was able to display her star power on NXT. She was able to make a name for herself by having great matches and a unique character on the developmental brand. She was the one to dethrone Shayna Bazsler who had held the title for a total of 549 days prior to that. Rhea went on to hold the title for 99 days, eventually losing it to Charlotte at WrestleMania 36.

Rhea Ripley has currently been struggling to find her footing on the main roster. After winning the RAW Women’s Championship from Asuka at WrestleMania, she lost the championship to Charlotte Flair after holding it for three months. Following that reign, in September, Rhea teamed up with Nikki ASH in hopes of winning the Women’s Tag Team Championships. They ended up winning the belts in September. They then went on to hold them for two months. However, last night on Monday Night RAW, we saw Zelina Vega defeat Ripley in 50 seconds. This is not a good sign, but we will do hope for the best for Rhea and her future within the company.
