Candice LeRae has been one of the pillars of the NXT women’s division over the past few years. She also happens to be Johnny Gargano’s wife. She is currently pregnant and off of WWE TV.
The WWE has not been shy recently when it comes to releasing talent. This leaves many questioning what will happen with LeRae along with her contract. It was previously reported that her contract was supposed to expire in the middle of 2022.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE is likely going to freeze LeRaw’s contract for the length of time she is out of action. It is likely that because of this her contract will now expire late next year.
The report is as follows:
“Candice LeRae’s contract would expire in May, but the belief is that they will add at least from the period of time she was taken off television until the period she returns due to pregnancy as a contract freezing period and if they do that, that’s going to wind up a long time into the future and probably well into 2022.
Candice has still been featured on WWE TV throughout her pregnancy, as she took part in the Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis wedding on the first episode of NXT 2.0. As her husband’s contract runs out, Candice’s pregnancy will likely play a big role in his decision to resign or choose one of his many other options.
