In what came as a shock to most in the wrestling world, news broke a few weeks ago that Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi would be departing All Elite Wrestling.
Many have questioned what Cody plans on doing next. While it has been reported that he will be heading to WWE nothing has yet to be confirmed. We exclusively reported yesterday that sources had told us that talks between Cody and WWE had “fizzled out.”
While he has not made any immediate decisions publicly regarding what he will do next, Cody has stayed active on social media interacting with fans.
While responding to a fan saying that Cody Rhodes was truly the face of the AEW, Cody Rhodes tweeted that it was really the audience that was the face of the movement and he just feels grateful to have been able to carry the baton during such a historic time in the industry.
I’ll let you in on a little secret, wrestling fans are the face of it all – I was lucky to carry the baton for several years, and I am incredibly proud of the changes we made for the industry and livelihood of wrestlers the world over. A great time, stuff for the history books
We will have to wait and see what Cody will do next.
