ROH World Champion Bandido’s title defense against Alex Zayne headlines a Championship Edition of Ring of Honor Wrestling next month.

Zayne, who defeated Bandido in January 2020 in their only previous meeting, earned the title shot by winning the Honor Rumble at Death Before Dishonor last month.

This will be the first ROH World Title Match on broadcast television since February.

Look for announcements in the near future on ROHWrestling.com and ROH’s social media channels regarding which other titles will be defended on the show and when it will air.

Chelsea Green made her much-anticipated ROH singles debut with an impressive win over Ashley Vox on this week’s episode of Women’s Division Wednesday.

Green created a buzz when she made a surprise appearance at Best in the World in July, and apparently The Allure (Angelina Love and Mandy Leon) isn’t thrilled about all the attention “The Hot Mess” has been getting.

Love and Leon confronted Green backstage before her match against Vox and informed her that ROH was The Allure’s house. They also came down to ringside during Green’s match.

Thankfully, The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle) showed up and had their friend Green’s back.

Even though Vox came up short against Green, she gave a good account of herself and nearly spoiled Green’s ROH singles debut.

On a side note, I  totally agree with World Famous CB’s take on “The Reel Catch’s” entrance.

International star and former ROH Pure Champion Doug Williams was my guest on the latest episode of The ROHStrong Podcast, which drops this Monday morning on ROHWrestling.com and most podcast platforms.

Williams talked about the current Pure division; his storied history in ROH, including wrestling Bryan Danielson, Jay Lethal and Jay Briscoe early in their careers; why he retired a few years ago and then decided to come back; going through a dark time during lockdown; who he’d like to wrestle in ROH, and much more.

Next week’s ROH Week By Week features the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Title Match between champions Shane Taylor Promotions (Taylor and Soldiers of Savagery’s Moses and Kaun) and La Facción Ingobernable (Dragon Lee, Kenny King and Bestia del Ring) from Death Before Dishonor.

The episode premieres Tuesday at 1 p.m. Eastern on YouTube.

Get ready to see some fantastic technical wrestling when The Foundation (Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus) take on Eli Isom, Taylor Rust, World Famous CB and Joe Keys in an eight-man tag match on Ring of Honor Wrestling the weekend of Oct. 16.

On this weekend’s episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, The OGK (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) faces Bandido and Rey Horus; Love, Miranda Alize and Willow meet in the first of two Triple Threat Matches to determine who challenges ROH Women’s World Champion Rok-C at Final Battle in December; and SOS takes on Dalton Castle and Dak Draper.

The other women’s Triple Threat Match  — between Leon, Kay and Trish Adora — will take place on TV next month. The winner of the two Triple Threat matches will then square off to decide who is the No. 1 contender.

Next week’s Women’s Division Wednesday features a tag team bout pitting the odd couple of Willow and Holidead against Alex Gracia and Laynie Luck. The episode premieres at 7 p.m. Eastern on YouTube.
