Emi Sakura Joining AEW Roster Full-Time After Moving To The United States

July 25, 2021

Emi Sakura made her AEW debut at their first ever event, Double or Nothing 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, we didn’t see Emi in AEW following her unsuccessful Women’s Championship match against Riho at Full Gear 2019, until earlier this year when she participated in the AEW Women’s Title Contender Tournament as part of the Japanese bracket.

It now looks like we can expect to see a lot more of Emi Sakura in AEW, as she announced on Twitter that she bought a one-way ticket to America.

“I decided to go to America with a one-way ticket. Please look forward to what happens to #ChocoPro from now on. We are, ChocoPro & we like a challenge.

Now #AEW Women Division, you better be ready, Emi Sakura’s looking at the top & @RealBrittBaker looks very interesting.”
