WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg is reportedly returning to the ring this month. Goldberg is set to return to television swiftly to set up a match at the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia, according to a report from Fightful Select.
The current plan is for Goldberg to challenge WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. This match, of course, was originally scheduled for WrestleMania 36 in 2020 prior to Reigns withdrawal from the event amidst the outbreak of COVID-19.
Fightful noted that considering all the changes WWE creative has made over the past few weeks that this match is “hardly a given.”
During an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated last year, Goldberg stated that he has one last match remaining on his contract but in other interviews has stated that he will be signed through 2023.
