While WWE may not grant Harper his release, as it turns out there isn’t a whole lot of time left on his current WWE deal as is.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discusses the news of Harper asking for his WWE release, and mentions that Luke Harper’s current WWE contract is set to expire in November of this year.

Regarding Luke Harper’s contract situation with WWE, Meltzer said:

“In theory they could hold him until November, in theory they could also take the last six months and hold him six months because of the injury. I don’t think that they’d do that because it would be really bad PR, but you know the balls in their court.”
