December 9, 2021

Earlier today the news broke that Jeff Hardy had been released from WWE. Now more details are surfacing on what led up to his release.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, he has reported that Hardy was offered help and rehab for his issues, specifically that WWE presented Hardy with the option of going to rehab. Hardy declined and was released from his contract.

“I’ve heard WWE offered Jeff Hardy help and rehab, and it was not accepted. Here’s to hoping things get better for him.”

Over the years it has been well known publicly that Jeff has had bouts of addiction and he looked to have gotten past it. We here at Bodyslam.net send our prayers to Jeff and his family, we hope for all the best.
