Jim cornet is not one to hold his opinion when it comes to the wrestling business. He has been very critical of the AEW product in both positive and negative ways. On a recent episode of his podcast, he further gave his take on a few matches and segments that the company has aired. In particular the recent Ruby Soho and Britt Baker match.
While speaking on his podcast, The Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette gave massive props to the match and even went as far as to state that it was better than many women’s matches in WWE.
“Obviously, this was not as good as Danielson and Omega, wasn’t as good as the Punk interview, and it wasn’t as good a match as FTR and Sting. He’s an icon or whatever. It was a tough spot to put them in to follow the rest of this show. And, you know, but it was a good girls match, it wasn’t as good as the other stuff that you know because it’s not gonna be, but not only compared to the girls matches that they were having on AEW for a long time when they started but for most of the girls matches that we’ve seen in the WWE. This was a higher-level girls match than we’ve been looking at lately.”
If things are going in the way it is looking, the Ruby Soho Britt Baker feud is just beefing up.
Below is the video of Cornette’s comments.
