AEW announced the signing of WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry when he made a surprise debut at their recent Double Or Nothing Pay-Per-View last month.
Henry will be a commentator for AEW’s new Rampage show that debuts later this year, and will also work as a talent scout for the company.
“The World’s Strongest Man” recently spoke to TMZ Sports, and talked about a potential AEW signing in Braun Strowman who was released from WWE last week. Henry said that Strowman is high on his list, but that the decision was entirely his. He did add that there has already been interest on both sides.
“Super high on my list. It’s not an all Mark Henry decision, but there’s already interest on both sides. Hopefully, by the time he’s allowed to wrestle in August, I think the middle of August, then we could have a serious conversation about contractual things of that nature but right now there’s interest on both sides. I love that dude.”
