NWA And IMPACT Worked Out Deal Prior To Kylie Rae Signing – Apologies To Roster Over Weekend

June 7, 2021

It was announced during NWA’s “When Our Shadows Fall” PPV on Sunday that Kylie Rae had signed with the promotion.

Kylie Rae had previously wrestled for IMPACT Wrestling, however she quit the promotion prior to her Knockouts Title match at Bound For Glory late last year. She then took a hiatus from wrestling up until a few months ago when she once again began taking independent dates.

According to a report from PWInsider the NWA worked out an agreement with IMPACT Wrestling in order for the company to be able to sign Kylie Rae to a contract. Currently there are no details on what exactly the arrangement was that both sides agreed to in order for Kylie Rae to be able to sign with the NWA.

It was also reported via Fightful Select that Kylie Rae’s signing with the NWA came as a surprise to those within IMPACT, as she had not been in contact with a majority of the roster for what was said to be months. It was added that Kylie Rae had reached out and spoke with some members of the IMPACT Wrestling roster over the weekend. She reportedly apologized for quitting the company and leaving after being advertised for the Knockouts Championship match against Deonna Purrazzo at Bound For Glory last year.

“Those that we’ve spoken to feel no ill will towards Kylie Rae, but hadn’t heard from her in the months following her absence, and were just glad to hear she was okay. We’ve been told Kylie spoke to some members of the IMPACT roster this weekend and apologized for the absence, as she did to IMPACT itself.”
