Alexa Bliss hasn’t wrestled in a WWE ring since Extreme Rules in September. The 5x Women’s Champion was originally scheduled to appear at Saturday’s Royal Rumble festivities, however it’s evident that plans were scrapped at the last minute due to her current storyline.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented about Alexa Bliss’ current direction in WWE. Apparently, the thought of Bliss’ current program caused them to nix her spot in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
“She was supposed to be in the Rumble too, but I guess they decided it would get in the way of what they are doing.”
Bliss has been featured on a few segments over the past few weeks, showing her going through therapy and trying to wash the Wyatt out of her brain.
We will have to wait and see where WWE will go with Bliss’s character.
