Rey Mysterio is without a doubt a first-ballot WWE Hall-Of-Famer. The 3x World Champion adds yet another accolade to his resume as he’s been revealed as the cover star of the latest installment in the WWE 2K series.
2K held a press event to hype the upcoming release of WWE2K22. The company announced that WWE2K22 will come out on March 11, 2022. There was also a new trailer released that showed some gameplay footage.
Rey Mysterio stated he is proud to take part in the game. The former World Champion said he was proud to represent Lucha libre culture as the cover artist. Rey also features prominently in the new preview video.
“Representing the culture of Lucha libre as the cover Superstar for WWE 2K22 is a moment of great pride for me. I’m looking forward to sharing the stories behind the big moments of my career with a dedicated community of players and connecting with WWE fans in a whole new way as they play through my 2K Showcase.”
The pre-sale bonuses are playable Undertaker characters. There is also an ‘nWo 4Life” edition of the game. Gamers who pick up either edition will receive the entire product three days early on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
