Ring of Honor is saddened to learn that Bobby Eaton has died. He was 62.

Known as “Beautiful Bobby,” Eaton was considered one of the best in-ring performers of his era. He was best known for being one half of two versions of the legendary Midnight Express tag team in the 1980s.

Outside the ring, Eaton had a reputation for being one of the nicest people in pro wrestling.

Managed by tennis racket-wielding manager Jim Cornette, Eaton won the NWA World Tag Team Title twice as a member of The Midnight Express, first with “Loveryboy” Dennis Condrey and later with “Sweet” Stan Lane. The Midnight Express had a storied rivalry with The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson).

Ring of Honor hosted a Midnight Express reunion in 2004 that brought together Eaton, Condrey, Lane and Cornette.

ROH extends its deepest condolences to Eaton’s family, friends and fans.
