Ronda Rousey Worked Through WrestleMania Main Event With Severe Injury

April 8, 2019

Ronda Rousey lost her RAW Women’s title last night in the Winner Take All Main Event match at WrestleMania 35 when Becky Lynch scored a pinfall over her, although as video showed Rousey’s shoulders were not down.

While there were reports that the finish of the match was botched, it’s now been said that the only botch in the finish was that Ronda’s shoulders were not supposed to come off the mat. In addition it was also reported that Ronda Rousey worked through the WrestleMania 35 Main Event with a severely broken hand.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Ronda severely broke her hand. He said:

“I have some news. Ronda has a broken hand. A severely broken hand. She was just diagnosed with it.”

Regardless of the injury that Rousey sustained this was to be her final WWE match for awhile despite the injury last night.
