Jon Moxley has barged through the Forbidden door. With matches against Kenta, and a match that saw him lose the IWGP United States Title against Lance Archer in an AEW ring Moxley has been one of the most active wrestlers across brands.
With Tanahashi defeating Lance Archer at NJPW Resurgence many fans were hoping for a Tanahashi vs Moxley match soon, but it looks like we will be waiting for a little while more as apparently changes have been made from the New Japan side.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, Jon Moxley vs Hiroshi Tanahashi is still in the works. It was unlikely for Tanahashi to face Moxley on such short notice as he is set to defend the IWGP United States Championship against Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Grand Slam on September 4th.
As seen on Dynamite Moxley called out Satoshi Kojima for a match at All Out, so we will have to wait and see when we will get a Tanahashi vs Moxley match.
