The Briscoes Reportedly Set to Join AEW

December 17, 2021

The Briscoes are Ring of Honor legends and worked in the promotion for nearly 20 years. They are widely regarded as one of the best tag teams in professional wrestling. According to an article from Kevin Burge of Bleacher Report, The Briscoes are expected to sign with All Elite Wrestling.

At ROH Final Battle, The Briscoes won the ROH Tag Team Championships for the 12th time. At the end of the match, AEW’s Dax Hardwood and Cash Wheeler (FTR) attacked the Briscoes.

The Briscoes also have history with The Young Bucks, Eddie Kingston, and other former ROH talent now signed to AEW. There is a potential for complex and interesting stories with The Briscoes in AEW that could feed on this history in the wake of ROH’s collapse. ROH’s entire roster will become free agents on New Year’s Day. Though there is no official confirmation of a signing, the post-match angle at Final Battle and the ongoing social media conflict between the teams may suggest that fans will see The Briscoes in AEW’s already-stacked tag team division before long.
