The OGK Wins ROH World Tag Team Title At Honor For All

November 15, 2021

BALTIMORE — Nearly six years after their first reign as ROH World Tag Teams Champions ended, The OGK (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) are wearing the gold for a second time.

OGK defeated La Faccion Ingobernable’s Dragon Lee and Kenny King to win the belts at Honor for All, an HonorClub exclusive, on Sunday night.

To the surprise of no one, LFI’s Bestia del Ring involved himself in the match. However, thanks to former LFI manager Amy Rose and her client Max The Impaler, Bestia was unable to help Lee and King steal another win.

While Max kept Bestia at bay, OGK hit the Proton Pack on Lee for the victory.

Rose had been waiting to exact revenge on her ex-associates since the 19th Anniversary show in March, when Bestia speared her and LFI fired her.

Longtime best friends Taven and Bennett were overcome with emotion after their victory, not only because it was a long road back to the championship, but also because of uncertainty about what the future holds for ROH.

It’s the seventh championship win in ROH for Taven, who is one of only two men to have held the ROH World Title, Television Title, Tag Team Title (twice) and Six-Man Tag Title (three times). Only Jay Briscoe (14) and Mark Briscoe (12) have more ROH title wins.
