Back in September of last year, Triple H suffered a cardiac episode that ended up requiring surgery. Since the injury, many have questioned if the fourteen time World Champion would ever be able to compete in the ring again.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer dismissed the notion of an in-ring comeback for Triple H.
“Triple H would be a terrible idea. His heart situation is… He can’t. I don’t want to say never, because that’s unfair… Maybe he can do something, but that would be a horrible idea for him and that’s not going to happen this year. There’s no way.”
Behind the scenes, Triple H helped usher in the Black and Gold era of NXT, which was eventually fazed out after his health issues arose. Triple H has been an integral figure behind the scenes, so even if his in-ring career has come to a close, he’s still an extremely valuable asset to WWE.
