Update On Sami Callihan; Has Screws Removed From Ankle

January 1, 2022

Back in September, Impact Wrestling Star Sami Callihan suffered a broken ankle after landing the wrong way during a match.

Callihan has been a staple with Impact for some time now, and his return to the ring is looking like it may be happening sooner rather than later.

During a recent episode of  Busted Open Radio, Sami joined the show to discuss his rehab following ankle surgery, which has kept him out of action.

“I think everyone misses me on IMPACT Wrestling. I got my screws out on December 23, I started taking my first steps a few days ago and the Callihan Death Machine is starting to lose weight. I’m starting to get stronger each and every day because I sat around for three months eating Chipotle every day becoming a fat slug, but now that’s over. New year, new Callihan, and now I get a chance to completely rebuild. When I come back to IMPACT Wrestling, there’s going to be hell to pay for a lot of people. I’ll go ahead and I don’t even know if I could say this on Sirius, but I really don’t give a damn — fuck you Moose. I don’t care if you’re the champion, I don’t care if you’re just being a dude on IMPACT Wrestling — when I come back to IMPACT Wrestling, I’m going to break your damn legs.”

Dave Meltzer had previously reported that Callihan would be out of action till at least spring of 2022.
