Back in November, Von Wagner appeared on an episode of SmackDown. The NXT 2.0 star showed up as a bodyguard figure for Adam Pierce. Many fans were curious as to why he never returned after his initial appearance.
Ringside News exclusively reported at that Vince McMahon felt Adam Pearce needed a bodyguard. After a few weeks of Wagner not being present on the blue brand, Ringside is reporting that they asked around about this angle. They report that a tenured member of the creative team confirmed that, “Vince decided ‘I don’t like it.’” and the angle was dropped.
Von Wagner is now becoming a staple on the NXT 2.0 brand. But, a call back to the main roster for the star seems likely to be in the cards for Wagner sometime in the future, but we will have to wait and see.
