WWE announced 4 new signings for NXT UK, including Meiko Satomura who had a promo video on last nights NXT UK, Metahan Kocabasoglu from Germany, Tony Gill and Baily Mathews.
Mieko Satomura is likely to be the most well known signing to the more hardcore wrestling fans due to long tenure in the Joshi world, who at the age of just 16 performed on a WCW show. Satomura also competed in the last Mae Young Classic where she made it to the semi-finals before being eliminated by Toni Storm.
Metahan may be most well known as Lucky Kid he has competed for many of Europe’s biggest promotions and was main stay for the wXw promotion in Germany, Metahan has competed for likes of Defiant wrestling, Progress Wrestling, Rev Pro wrestling in the UK he has also made appearances for ROH during there European tours.
Tony Gill was better known as Tony Cage on the independent scene but also competed for IMPACT wrestling under the name of Gursinder Singh, Tony Gill started his career being trained by Lance Storm in Canada and is a 5 year pro.
Bailey Mathews will be the most suited to the NXT UK style with a style that is reminiscent Johnny Saint and Billy Robinson not surprising when he is real life son of William Regal, Bailey also spent some time in Japan in the NJPW Young Lion System.
So four more signings for the WWE NXT UK brand each one of them will add something different to an incredible roster that already includes the likes of Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Ilja Draganov and many other great stars.
