WWE Closes Office In Mexico

November 18, 2021

WWE has closed its offices in Mexico City, according to  Periodico Correo. This follows the announcement that WWE was shutting down offices in Japan in September.

While it was not said by the company, it looks like they are putting an end to plans to build NXT territories around the world. At one point there was talk of expanding the brand to create Performance Center buildings in some countries including Japan, Mexico, Australia, and Canada, but it doesn’t look like those plans are still in place.

The company hasn’t held an event in Mexico since November 2019. The pandemic ruined their plans to return in 2020 or 2021, but they are planning on something. Sadly, their office in the country is now closed.

WWE is still moving forward with its plans of opening a brand new headquarters in the United States. Those plans were also delayed due to the pandemic, but they are still making headway into moving into that new building.
