WWE Looking To Add ‘More Characters’ To New NXT

September 10, 2021

NXT will be looking a lot different in the upcoming future. To go along with its New Logo, Theme music, set and reports of Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard taking over creative the roster will be receiving its own ‘facelift.’

Last month we saw NXT release around a dozen talent from the brand including the former NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed. It now looks like more changes are coming in the form of new talent.

According to a report from Fightful Select, many NXT stars are questions the next moves by the company. It is being reported talent have asked higher up upcoming plans but “they were given no answers.”

One small detail the was given was that NXT is hoping to “have more characters” on the show. It’s being reported Vince doesn’t want wrestlers, he wants more characters he can market. This is said to be the reason why they are moving away from signing indie talent.

One of the few details provided in recent weeks was that NXT specifically was hoping to have “more characters,” although that appeared to be in a broad sense.

With this recent news, we will have to see how things shake up for the brand moving forward.
