Blair Davenport def. Emilia McKenzie
Emilia McKenzie has enjoyed the biggest roll of her career since accepting veteran wisdom from NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura, but the spunky competitor was no match for the sadistic Blair Davenport.
The fiery McKenzie put up a strong resistance, landing a neckbreaker and nearly spearing her opponent out of her boots.
Davenport nevertheless recovered and kept her perfect record intact by greeting her hard-charging foe with a knee to the face before executing a thunderous Falcon Arrow for the three-count.
True to form, Davenport unleashed another post-match attack, trapping McKenzie in an STF and keeping her in the excruciating hold for several uncomfortable seconds.
Jordan Devlin challenged NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov and sparked a wild brawl
Sneering from ear to ear at the NXT UK Universe, Jordan Devlin reminded everyone that he is the longest-reigning NXT Cruiserweight Champion ever, boasted that he is the “ace of the brand,” and claimed that the only thing left for him to do is take the NXT UK Championship.
After daring Ilja Dragunov to come to “Devlin’s ring,” Devlin immediately got what he wanted, as The Czar stalked to the squared circle and simply stated that all Devlin had to do was ask if he wanted a title fight.
The Irish Ace went right for the jugular, promising to take Dragunov’s title, end his career and not lose a single night of sleep after doing so.
But when Devlin mentioned the names of Dragunov’s wife and son and indicated that The Czar’s son would “have to grow up taking care of his daddy,” an enraged Dragunov struck Devlin with a right hand and began blistering him with fists until NXT UK officials broke up the melee.
Sam Gradwell def. Sha Samuels
After coming agonizingly close to taking the NXT UK Heritage Cup from Noam Dar before losing in controversial fashion two weeks ago, the outspoken Sam Gradwell was looking to unleash his rage on The Scottish Supernova’s right-hand man, Sha Samuels.
And that’s exactly what he did.
Though he had to deal with some interference from Dar, who used a scarf to briefly tie Gradwell to the bottom rope, The Thunderstorm quickly freed himself and nearly drove Samuels back-first through the canvas to earn the win.
Moustache Mountain def. NXT UK Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly
Though they’ve recently had to navigate some bumpy waters and deal with some heartbreaking losses, Tyler Bate and Trent Seven have reached the top of the tag team mountain after winning the NXT UK Tag Team Championship from Pretty Deadly in a pulse-pounding title bout.
Bate came within an eyelash of scoring the win when he dropped Howley with Tyler Driver ’97, but after Howley got his shoulder off the mat in the nick of time, Pretty Deadly went to work isolating and brutalizing The Big Strong Boi.
Moments later, Pretty Deadly nearly sealed the win with Spilt Milk on Seven, but Bate broke up the pinfall just before the official could count to three.
Moustache Mountain were left in dire straits when Bate took Spilt Milk on the ringside floor and the titleholders repeatedly slammed Seven into the mat, but The Don miraculously kicked out at the last second. Stoker then cracked Seven with one of the championship titles, but Seven amazingly got his shoulder off the canvas.
The war-torn Bate leveled Howley with another Tyler Driver ‘97, Seven slammed Stoker on top of Howley, and Bate soared off the top rope with a match-clinching spiral turn to Howley.
By ending the 10-month reign of Stoker and Howley, Bate became the first Triple Crown Champion in NXT UK history, and he celebrated in the ring with his emotional partner as NXT UK concluded.
