During our last Ring of Honor bubble, I noticed a few of the athletes taking bathroom fitness selfies. It’s a common thing they do when they’re bored.
I took some myself and began to receive questions about how I’ve been able to stay in shape at my age of 44.
Many write it off as simply having good genes. While I can’t disagree, I also want to make it clear that many have good genes, but having them comes with great responsibility. I take spirituality, health, and fitness seriously.
Some feel I’ve found the “fountain of youth.” Because of this, I will spend the next few weeks in this space breaking down the three things that I feel have had a huge impact on my current health state. Hopefully I’ll be able to encourage others to lead a more health-conscious life.
Our days are numbered, but how we choose to live those days — comfortable or uncomfortable — is up to us.
Spirituality to me deals with personal convictions, peace, and structure. Health deals with the inside-out portion of the body, including diet plans and choices for individuals. Fitness is about more than just exercise, and I feel there is a fitness plan for most anybody.
I am aware there are health issues that can make life more challenging for some. My goal in this series is to challenge everyone to sip from their fountain of youth and discover the best you.
Just something to think about. I call it a dose of Colemanism.
