An interview with Kofi Kingston is featured in this week’s edition of Newsweek stemming from the WWE Champion’s appearance at this year’s annual E3. That’s right, Kofi’s talking video games.
In the piece, by writer Phil Martinez, Kofi discusses his passion for video games, how he believes they can bring people together just as sports-entertainment does, and he even throws in a few fun stories about hiding “Mortal Kombat” from his mom and how he keeps up with gaming on the road. (Short answer there? Layovers.)
“A lot of people talk about video games as something nerds do,” said Kingston. “But we look at it as a way to connect with people. It’s something that’s positive, that brings people together. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about.”
The new issue of Newsweek, featuring Martinez’s interview and an original drawing by artist Britt Spencer, is on newsstands now.
