Uriah Connors def. Cutler James
In a clash between two Superstars seeking their first career win, fourth-generation Superstar Uriah Connors and the towering Cutler James engaged the WWE Universe in a thrilling opening bout.
James, who impressed in his debut match despite falling to Josh Briggs, attempted to outmuscle Connors and succeeded when he caught his airborne foe and shook the ring with a pair of scoop slams.
Despite being back on his heels for some time, Connors threw caution to the wind by diving through the ropes to wipe out James at ringside before soaring from the top rope with a decisive elbow drop.
Stevie Turner def. Kendal Grey
Recently vocal about being overlooked by NXT management, Stevie Turner had the chance to back up her bluster in a clash with Kendal Grey, an impressive, high-energy rookie.
“The Four-Dimensional Superstar,” who is primed for a clash with Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace, feigned acquiescing to the official’s rope break before overwhelming a vulnerable Grey with rapid-fire fists and kicks.
Grey eventually rallied with a trio of reverse elbows to the jaw and a suplex, but Turner dodged her opponent when Grey leapt from the second rope and quickly claimed the win by sending her face-first into the canvas.
Charlie Dempsey & Myles Borne def. Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe
Via the “Catch Clause,” No Quarter Catch Crew waited until the last possible second to reveal which two members would compete against Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, as Charlie Dempsey and Myles Borne stepped forward just prior to the opening bell.
Despite his team seemingly being at a disadvantage, Igwe landed a massive blow when hit the ring like a ball of fire after receiving a much-needed tag, overwhelming his opponents with strikes, a scoop slam to Borne and a shoulder breaker to Dempsey.
Igwe attempted to fight Borne, the illegal man, but Borne was saved when Damon Kemp pulled him off the ring apron to safety. Seconds later, Dempsey sealed the win by catching Igwe in a picture-perfect German suplex.
