Ronda Rousey is taking her talents to the NetherRealm .
The Baddest Woman on the Planet and reigning Raw Women’s Champion was a special guest at today’s “Mortal Kombat 11” reveal event in Los Angeles, where she was officially announced as the voice of Sonya Blade in the upcoming fighting game.
Following a gameplay demonstration, Rousey was officially introduced as Sonya’s voice actor in a behind-the-scenes highlight reel that showed her at work in the booth. Rousey then came onstage for a brief interview where she discussed the secrecy of the project, the particulars of voice acting, and the overlap between her real-life moveset and that of her digital counterpart.
“This is a dream come true. I tried to grow up to be Sonya Blade, as close as I could,” said The Baddest Woman on the Planet. “Now instead of being the closest thing I can be to Sonya Blade, I am actually Sonya Blade.”
Joining Rousey at the event were Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Zelina Vega, who didn’t get in on the presentation itself but were rocking some A-plus cosplay in the crowd. Check out some glimpses of their day below and keep tabs on the UpUpDownDown YouTube Channel next week for more coverage from the event, including WWE Superstars playing “Mortal Kombat 11.”
