As the famous saying goes: Go against the king, and you best not miss. That couldn’t have been a better way to describe the energy surrounding “The Man” with the plan, Becky Lynch. To say the all-around Lass Kicker doesn’t, hasn’t and will likely never back down from anyone would to be state the obvious. (Her Herculean night at WWE Royal Rumble 2019 is crystal clear proof.) Yet those who choose to step into or even entertain the thought of entering her crosshairs have the unfortunate task of dealing with the #StraightFire that comes with it, especially on Twitter.

Those who decide to type or tag “@BeckyLynchWWE,” tread lightly. Whether it’s by way of a mention or the aftermath of an encounter, The Man is Hawkeye-level ready when it comes to clapping back at those who throw stones her way. Left in the wake of her bulletproof wit and barbed trash-talk on Twitter is a trail of broken egos. As of this writing, the victims of Lynch’s wit-sharpened tweets for the beginning of 2019 already include John Cena, Corey Graves, Mickie James, Charlotte Flair and, yes, Ronda Rousey. Simply put, no one is safe.

With the strike of a matchstick, Becky Lynch lit up Corey Graves with quite a burn – and to think, it started with a love tap. How she ends up flipping his own comment into absolute ether is a testament to the accuracy of her sharpened Twitter barbs. Not only does she answer Graves’ consideration, but The Man goes even further by thoroughly detailing why. It’s not just a “thanks but no thanks.” Instead, she goes the extra mile by painting the full picture – with a paintbrush set ablaze.

Seth Rollins

In the words of Ric Flair, “To be the man, you gotta beat the man!” That’s the challenge Becky Lynch posed to Seth Rollins, after he used the famous quote to tug at her status as “The Man.” In short, she shuttered Rollins’ suggestion and burned it down in the process.

Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss’ moment of bliss turned “Man-ic” during the Oct. 30, 2018 edition of SmackDown LIVE. It started when Becky Lynch delivered a scorching message to Ronda Rousey ahead of Survivor Series and said, “I didn’t come to cosplay…” In response, Bliss sent Lynch a subtweet with the message “#StillBeatYaTho.” As if her Spidey-Sense was alerted, Lynch fired back moments later and doubled down with a stiff two-part haymaker.

As evidenced by the many times Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have gone back-and-forth outside of the squared circle (remember that photoshoot?), there’s no shortage of places for their tension to spill. For The Man, however, there’s also no shortage of memes and thinly-veiled darts waiting for her former best pal, whom she refers to as “Bootleg Becky.”

As they prepare to face off at WrestleMania 35, the war between Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch is backed by a cache of notable Twitter moments. There’s the infamous “Want some avocado toast?” tweet by Lynch after “Kendo Stickgate” at Survivor Series 2018. There’s Rousey’s own sharp-written warning a few days after WWE TLC. Yet, no other tweet sits more like a linchpin in this battle than these two words of doom. Simple yet effective, this post-WWE Evolution tweet shook up the WWE Universe and masterfully set the stage for what is arguably the most heated rivalry in recent memory.
