Mike Santana vowed to save TNA Wrestling when he challenged Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship on WWE NXT — but he wasn’t expecting this!
Elijah had a front-row seat as he scouted the competition for his TNA World Title opportunity this Friday at Against All Odds.
Santana was moments away from victory following a 450 Splash, but Trick narrowly grabbed the bottom rope to save his championship reign.
Trick rolled to the outside in retreat, where he smashed Elijah’s guitar on the ring steps. Elijah jumped the barricade and chaos ensued.
With the referee’s attention diverted, A.J. Francis and KC Navarro of FIR$T CLA$$ gained a measure of revenge on Santana when they attacked him at ringside. Francis would hit Santana with a thudding Down Payment on the announce table.
Trick capitalized on the situation, pinning Santana with the Trick Shot to retain the TNA World Championship.
