The wrestling world was rocked when NXT’s Trick Williams dethroned Joe Hendry to become the new TNA World Champion, making history as the first WWE Superstar to capture a TNA Championship.

Since then, Hendry has been incensed on reclaiming the gold, not only for himself but for TNA Wrestling. His one-on-one rematch was set for Slammiversary, but after overwhelming support from the fans, Mike Santana was added to the match on the authority of Santino Marella.

Now the red-hot Santana will have an opportunity to complete his ascension in his hometown of New York – but he’ll have to overcome Williams and Hendry in a three-way contest to do it.

Yes, the phenomenal news is true: AJ Styles returns TNA Wrestling at Slammiversary, LIVE July 20 from UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.

What does “The Phenomenal One” have in store for TNA’s biggest event of the summer?

As revealed by Director of Authority Santino Marella and TNA/NXT Liaison Arianna Grace, reigning TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich will battle the NXT Women’s Champion in a historic, winner takes all Title vs. Title match at Slammiversary.

After Jacy Jayne retained the NXT Women’s Championship against Jordynne Grace at WWE Evolution, this monumental showdown was made official: Slamovich will face off with Jayne, and only one will leave TNA’s summer pay-per-view extravaganza with both the TNA Knockouts and NXT Women’s Championships.

Slamovich has been at odds with Jayne since NXT’s Fatal Influence arrived on the scene in TNA Wrestling.

As announced on Barstool Sports during The Hardys’ media tour in New York, the TNA World Tag Team Titles will be on the line in a Four-Way Ladder match at TNA’s summer pay-per-view extravaganza, Slammiversary!

With the Titles hanging high above the ring, The Nemeths will defend against The Hardys, FIR$T CLA$$ and The Rascalz, making for a star-studded, high-stakes encounter! Who will leave Long Island as the TNA World Tag Team Champions?

Leon Slater has made a name for himself as one of the most exciting young stars in professional wrestling today. And at Slammiversary, he will have an opportunity to take his career to the next level.

After pinning Moose in an Eight-Man Tag Team match at Against All Odds, Slater cemented himself as the #1 Contender for the X-Division Championship. As announced by TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella, his singles showdown with Moose will take place at Slammiversary.

Can Slater dethrone Moose and become the youngest X-Division Champion in history? Or will Moose remind the world why he’s one of the most dominant forces in TNA Wrestling today?

Mustafa Ali’s tyrannical leadership of Order 4 has made him no shortage of enemies, including a former friend, and rival, in Cedric Alexander. Alexander would make his jaw-dropping debut in TNA after Tasha Steelz, who had faced the brunt of Ali’s wrath on several occasions, reached out for help.

With John Skyler, Jason Hotch and even Cedric Alexander himself unable to change Ali’s mind, Alexander must now be the one to stand up for what is right.

At Slammiversary, Ali and Alexander will renew their longstanding rivalry when they meet one-on-one.

Indi Hartwell has been making waves since arriving TNA in this past spring. But tensions began to escalate when she crossed paths with a former friend turned enemy, Tessa Blanchard.

Now, Hartwell and Blanchard will look to settle the score when they meet one-on-one at TNA’s summer pay-per-view extravaganza, Slammiversary.

After Matt Cardona found himself on the receiving end of a four-on-one beatdown from NXT’s DarkState, he realized that he needed backup and he needed it fast. Cardona would attempt to enlist his former friend and tag team partner, Brian Myers, but his allegiance now belongs to The System.

A stunning change of heart would take place, as Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards and JDC fought back against DarkState on WWE NXT. And when Cardona was moments away from another vicious assault on iMPACT!, it was The System who came to his aid.

Now, Cardona will join forces with The System to battle DarkState in a big Eight-Man Tag Team match at Slammiversary.

Before TNA’s summer pay-per-view extravaganza, the action begins on Countdown to Slammiversary streaming LIVE AND FREE at 7pm ET on TNA+, YouTube, Facebook and Twitch.

The IInspiration made their shocking TNA return at Against All Odds and since then, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay have targeted the brash and arrogant group led by the reigning Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Ash and Heather By Elegance.

Following a physical altercation during a Meet & Greet, this match has been made official for Countdown to Slammiversary: The Elegance Brand vs. The IInspiration with the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles on the line.

TNA International Champion Steve Maclin will join forces with his two most recent challengers, Mance Warner and Jake Something, to battle three stars from Fourth Rope: Real 1, Zilla Fatu and Josh Bishop.

Real 1 has made his presence felt on recent episodes of TNA iMPACT! in a series of paid advertisements by Fourth Rope.

The Busted Open Panel returns as Gia Miller, Tommy Dreamer and Dave LaGreca break down the huge night ahead on Countdown to Slammiversary.
