After selling out in pop-ups in NYC, LA, Austin, Miami and other cities, Bucket Listers brought the retro party to Las Vegas at PKWY Tavern Decatur. Delightfully described as a “90s and 2000s speakeasy video store bar,” Back 2 The Video Store is a cute, not-so-secret bar tucked into the side of the main bar.

Step Back Into The Past
From the entrance all the way into the mini bar, there were fantastic props, callbacks, and decorations harkening back to the good old days of checking out a Blockbuster to grab a few must-have movies. There’s a DJ spinning tunes in the front, a Clueless step-and-repeat, some arcade games (Street Fighter II!), a throne to sit on, and a door that looks like a wall of movies leading you inside the speakeasy itself.

The nostalgic feeling continues throughout the space. Whether you’re playing games, choosing a movie-themed cocktail, or just mingling with other sentimental baddies, you’re guaranteed to have a grand Millennial time.
A Taste of the Classics
Cocktail drinkers will enjoy the array of options that line the movie wall, which doubles as a large drink menu. You peruse it like you’re at a video rental store, select your “movie” (which describes the drink itself along with the movie title), take it to the bar and they’ll whip up your cocktail for you. It’s a fun nod to the 90s video rental experience that will remind Millennials of what used to be and give Gen Z a taste of how things were.
The two cocktails I chose were “Mean Girls” and “Jaws” themed. The “Mean Girls” drink was incredibly sweet, with an Absolut Vodka and watermelon mixture poured over cotton candy and Sweethearts. The “Jaws” cocktail came in a mini fish bowl and was adorably adorned with a gummy shark and a splash of grenadine for a bloody effect. In addition, there was a variety of finger foods provided by PKWY Tavern, from mini sliders to mini corn dogs to the delicious buffalo chicken egg rolls.
The Perfect Pre-Game Before A Night Out
The music was so on point ranging from Selena (the only Selena that matters), Ginuwine, En Vogue, and other 90s/00s hitmakers. You can also enjoy the movie scenes playing on multiple screens in the space. When the speakeasy section got a little too packed, my guest and I ventured into the main bar in PKWY Tavern where the outside bartenders were in 90s outfits and arcade games sprinkled throughout. There’s a little something for everyone. It’s definitely a can’t-miss experience for anyone born after 1980.
