2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival Guide

On Friday, February 28, 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the media preview for the highly anticipated Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. From the moment I arrived, the energy and excitement in the air were undeniable. This exclusive event provided a first look at the flavors, experiences, and culinary creativity that will be on display until April 21, 2025. Engaging Presentations & Insights

The day kicked off with eight different presentation booths, where various members of California’s culinary community shared their expertise. A brew master, wine maker, and Disney chefs, all offered valuable insights into their craft. These presentations lasted for three immersive hours, allowing attendees to engage in meaningful conversations and learn about the inspirations behind the festival’s offerings.

Special Events: Beverage Education & Tasting Seminars

One of the standout sessions I attended was the Wine Education & Tasting Seminar. Featuring Christopher Christensen, Founder & Winemaker of Bodkin Wines, this 45-minute seminar offered a deep dive into five of Bodkin Wines’ best selections. Each one has its own unique character and story. My personal favorite was the 2022 Light Skinned, not only for its exceptional taste but also for the heartfelt family story behind it.

The seminar provided an engaging and welcoming atmosphere. With lots of laughter, heart, and insight, it was an experience to remember. Christopher Christensen’s passion for winemaking was evident in every pour. He shared stories that brought each bottle to life. Attendees not only learned about the intricacies of winemaking but also gained a deeper appreciation for the artistry and dedication that goes into each vintage. This seminar was a perfect blend of education and enjoyment. It solidified Bodkin Wines as a must-try and this session as a highlight of the festival.

Live Music & Entertainment

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, live music and entertainment were hosted by show director Paul David Bryant. His dynamic presence brought an extra layer of excitement to the event. This enhanced the overall festival experience with lively performances and engaging interactions.

Exploring Disney California Adventure Park

After the sessions concluded, I had the chance to explore Disney California Adventure Park on my own. As part of the media experience, we were given a Sip and Savor Pass loaded with eight credits. This allowed us to sample a variety of festival dishes and drinks.

Another highlight of the day was the opportunity to experience “Soarin’ Over California” with a one-time use Lightning Lane entry. This nostalgic attraction remains a fan favorite. Plus it was a fantastic way to take a break from all the food and drink tastings.

  • Pickle Whiskey Sour Cocktail – A unique and refreshing cocktail that had just the right mix of tanginess and smooth whiskey notes.

  • Birria Mac & Cheese with Onion-Cilantro Sauce and Tortilla Crunch – A must-try dish that beautifully combined the richness of Mac & cheese with the bold flavors of birria.

While these were my personal favorites, other attendees raved about the Western BBQ Burger Bao, Musubi Fried Rice, and California Punch.
