Elsa Bloodstone Joins the Roster as a New Duelist

The headline addition for Season 6.5 is Elsa Bloodstone, who enters the battlefield as a high-skill Duelist built around mobility, pressure, and monster-hunting precision.

Elsa brings a unique playstyle centered on weapon swapping, traps, and momentum-based combat. As she deals damage, her Hunting Instinct sharpens—reducing ability cooldowns and allowing her to overwhelm enemies faster as fights escalate. That Instinct meter resets upon being knocked out, rewarding smart positioning and calculated aggression.

Her kit includes:

  • A powerful elephant gun for devastating close-range engagements
  • Traps infused with the smoke monster Diablo, immobilizing enemies
  • A Breathing Gun enhanced through Team-Up synergies
  • An Ultimate ability that summons Glartrox, a rampaging monster that tears through enemy lines

Elsa excels at darting in and out of combat, punishing missteps and finishing fights decisively once openings appear.

Major Team-Up Ability Changes Reshape the Meta

Season 6.5 introduces a significant refresh to Team-Up Abilities, altering several long-standing hero synergies and adding new combinations.

Key changes include:

  • Fantastic Four Team-Up Removed
The previous Invisible Woman–Fantastic Four Team-Up is retired.
  • Psionic Mayhem (Invisible Woman + Doctor Strange)
Doctor Strange’s Maelstrom of Madness becomes Psionic Vortex, pulling enemies inward while granting bonus health to nearby allies based on damage dealt.
  • Interdimensional Toy Box Update (Deadpool + Elsa Bloodstone + Jeff)
Deadpool modifies Elsa’s Breathing Gun, causing enemies hit by Living Bullet rounds to suffer vision impairment and auditory chaos from Deadpool’s nonstop commentary. Elsa can recall rounds to heal herself.
  • Gamma Charge Expanded (Hulk + Black Panther + The Thing)
The Thing gains Gamma Gauntlets, boosting damage, range, and granting bonus health per hit.
  • Rocket Network Upgrade (Rocket Raccoon + Star-Lord + Mister Fantastic)
Mister Fantastic’s Elasticity can now exceed its cap and be manually triggered, allowing for more strategic burst windows.

These changes are expected to significantly impact competitive play and team compositions moving forward.

Valentine’s Day and Lunar New Year Events Hit Times Square

Season 6.5 also introduces limited-time in-game events tied to real-world celebrations:

  • Gambit & Rogue Wedding Parade – February 14
Following their wedding in Krakoa, Gambit and Rogue take over Times Square with a Valentine’s Day parade event. Players can join the festivities and earn Units.
  • Chinese Spring Festival Celebration
Lin Lie performs a lion dance in Times Square. Players who log in can watch, participate, and receive Unit red envelopes.

Deadpool Hosts the Monster Kingdom Championship

Building on the success of previous Marvel Rivals tournaments, Deadpool steps into the spotlight with the Monster Kingdom Championship, running February 21–22.

The event features two divisions:

  • Duos (teams of 2)
  • Squads (teams of 6–8)

There are no rank or platform restrictions, making the event accessible to all players. Each day consists of five first-to-three match rounds, with factions earning Units, Unstable Molecules, and exclusive nameplate rewards based on performance.
