At New York Comic Con 2025, Marvel Television and Marvel Animation pulled out all the stops on the Empire Stage, unveiling new trailers, casting surprises, and ambitious plans across live-action and animated shows coming to Disney+. Moderated by Brandon Davis with Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum, the panel traced the next phase for the MCU and the animated universe alike.

Marvel Television

Wonder Man — Meta Heroics (Jan 27, 2026)

Marvel debuted the official Wonder Man trailer, leaning into a meta take on Hollywood and heroism. Rather than origin powers, the show centers on Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) auditioning for a remake of a superhero film, with veteran actor Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) inserted into the casting mix.

A surprise casting reveal came when Joe Pantoliano confirmed he’s joining the series, though his role remains under wraps — many fans wonder if he’ll reprise his MCU-era Daredevil connection or play someone entirely new.

The tone is self-aware and satirical, exploring fame, performance, and identity in a superhero world.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 — New Alliances & Crossovers (March 2026)

Charlie Cox returned to tease Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, with Krysten Ritter confirmed to reprise Jessica Jones in a welcomed MCU reunion.

One of the more interesting reveals: Marvel confirmed that Daredevil Season 2 will connect to the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, emphasizing narrative cohesion between the Disney+ series and Sony’s MCU-linked Spider-Man projects.

Also revealed: Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) would return despite his tragic fate in Season 1’s premiere — his presence appears in flashbacks.

The show is set for a March 2026 release, with Season 3 already greenlit.

VisionQuest — The Trilogy Conclusion (2026)

Marvel confirmed VisionQuest as the concluding act of the Wanda → Agatha → Vision trilogy.

Returning to the screen: Paul Bettany as Vision, with support from voice actors James Spader (Ultron), James D’Arcy (J.A.R.V.I.S.), Orla Brady (F.R.I.D.A.Y.), Emily Hampshire (E.D.I.T.H.), and Henry Lewis (D.U.M.-E).

We also got glimpses of White Vision’s journey — trying to reclaim identity and memories, even as he changes physically.

No firm release date yet, but 2026 is locked in.

Marvel Animation

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 — Symbiotes & Spider-Gwen (Fall 2026)

Animation got spicy. In the Spider-Man sequel, Marvel confirmed the Venom symbiote will make its universe debut. The trailer showed Peter investigating Oscorp and encountering a “black, oozy substance” that teases that storyline.

New characters confirmed: Gwen Stacy / Spider-Gwen (seen attempting break-in at Oscorp), and the return of villains Doctor Octopus, Scorpion, Chameleon, along with Norman Osborn and Harry Osborn.

Charlie Cox will reprise Daredevil in the animated world, now donning his classic red suit.

Set to hit Disney+ in Fall 2026.

X-Men ’97 Season 2 — Familiar Faces & Time-Scattered Stakes (Summer 2026)

The X-Men revival returns with heavyweight creative talent: Eric and Julia Lewald (original series writers) and director Larry Houston join Season 2 as executive producers.

From the trailer, confirmed characters include Apocalypse (as a major villain), and the X-Men scattered across time following the season 1 finale.

Also returning or teased: Wolverine, Storm, Morph, Havok, Lady Deathstrike, Polaris among others.

The series is slated for Summer 2026 on Disney+.
