Season 4 Synopsis
In its fourth and final season, Bel-Air finds Will (Jabari Banks) navigating the excitement and pressure of senior year as he faces decisions that could define his future. Carlton (Olly Sholotan) struggles with the fallout from past choices, forcing both young men to confront what brotherhood truly means.
Within the Banks household, shifting power dynamics put Phil (Adrian Holmes) and Geoffrey (Jimmy Akingbola) at odds, testing their loyalty and integrity. Vivian (Cassandra Freeman) embarks on a new phase of motherhood and artistic reinvention, Hilary (Coco Jones) begins a path of self-exploration, and Ashley (Akira Akbar) experiences the trials of high-school rebellion.
As always, the series continues to blend style, social consciousness, and heartfelt drama—reminding audiences why Bel-Air remains one of the most resonant reinterpretations in modern television.
A Legacy Reinvented
Inspired by Morgan Stevenson Cooper’s viral short that re-envisioned The Fresh Prince as a grounded drama, Bel-Air reshaped nostalgia into contemporary relevance. Under the leadership of showrunner and executive producer Carla Banks Waddles, Season 4 aims to deliver the show’s most emotional and high-stakes storytelling yet.
The creative team also includes Cooper, who returns to direct the final two episodes, and a roster of executive producers such as Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Benny Medina, Quincy Jones, and series creators Andy and Susan Borowitz.
Episodes are directed by Nick Copus (401-402), Keesha Sharp (403-404), Tina Mabry (405-406), and Morgan Stevenson Cooper (407-408). The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Westbrook Studios, founded by Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith.
