Lionsgate is the second studio to present at CinemaCon. From Lionsgate, fans can expect news related to upcoming releases like Ballerina, Now You See Me 3, Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping, John Wick 5, and more.

Ballerina

They showcased an extended  look at Ballerina including a fight sequence between Ana de Armas’ character Eve Macarro, and an assailant at a diner. After kicking his ass, the fight moves to the kitchen where she faces a cook with a knife. Some creative uses of the environment and lots of broken plates. 

On stage, Ana de Armas and director Len Wiseman shared more about the film. Ana revealed that training for Ballerina was the most physical and challenging thing she has ever done from strength training to weapons training. 

The Long Walk September 12, 2025

Director Francis Lawrence shares that this is favorite Stephen King novel. “The heart of the movie for me is that it’s about these young men and their relationship with each other…How can we hold each other up kind of competition.” 

Star David Jonsson signed on for this because he felt it would challenge him as an actor. Mark Hamill plays the antagonist. “It hit me like a ton of bricks. The premise alone is nightmare inducing. […] If you can’t be a hero then there is nothing better than being a villain. If you get booed and people hate your guts, then you’ve done your job.” 

They also showed the first trailer for The Long Walk and it is just as nightmarish as you would expect.

Director Francis Lawrence shared that they are casting the film right now.

American Psycho

The script is currently being adapted and they are deep in the casting process. 

JOHN WICK NEWS

Keanu Reeves and the creative team behind John Wick will be teaming up with Director Shannon Tindle (Ultraman Rising) will create an animated prequel set in a pre-John Wick 1 world, that will finally reveal what the impossible task was. 

Donnie Yen will be coming back as Caine in a Hong Kong style action thriller. And Keanu Reeves is officially onboard for John Wick 5. 

Good Fortune

The trailer for Aziz Ansari’s film Good Fortune shows Angel Gabriel (Keanu Reeves) trying to help Ansari’s character appreciate is life more. While also showing him money isn’t everything. But when he has him switch places with the pompous Seth Rogen Gabriel’s plan backfires. 

Comes to theaters October 17, 2025.

Power Ballad 

They showed a trailer for the new film Power Ballad starring Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas. The two star as a wedding singer and former boyband member who meet randomly and spend time coming up with a chorus for a new song. But Jonas’ character steals the lyrics and Rudd’s character is left with no proof. 

Now You See Me Now You Don’t

Director Ruben Fleischer hit the stage and shared the legacy and new cast came together for a great project full of magic and spectacle. He also shared the first look at the trailer. The film looks like a lot of fun. The old cast and new step into their roles easily and yes there are plenty of great magic shots and stunts that fans will love. 

Also a fourth film is in development with Fleischer directing. “We were so happy with the director’s cut, we’re already developing the next chapter,” Lionsgate‘s Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson said. “We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us.”

The Housemaid 

The first book in a viral book series, The Housemaid stars Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, and Brandon Sklenar. The cast, along with director Paul Feig, shared the first trailer of the film coming to theaters Christmas 2025. 

Sweeney revealed she is a big fan of the book series. Meanwhile Seyfried said “we created some wacky shit” and Sklenar added that his character “Andrew is pretty f*cking unhinged.”

Hurry Up Tomorrow

Director Trey Edward Shults described the film as soulful, visceral, and a singular experience. He then brought out star Jenna Ortega. She shared that there is a scene in the script that reminded her of possession and that was why she wanted to be involved.

The second trailer for the film was shown followed by a surprise live performance by The Weekend singing the title track.
