Prime Video has unveiled gripping first look images from the second season of Cross, offering an early glimpse at the escalating danger awaiting Alex Cross when the hit crime thriller returns in 2026.
Season two of Cross will premiere on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, launching with three episodes exclusively on Prime Video. New episodes will roll out weekly, with the season finale set for March 18, 2026. The series will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Starring and executive produced by Aldis Hodge, Cross continues to expand its dark, psychologically charged storytelling rooted in James Patterson’s bestselling Alex Cross novels. Created by showrunner Ben Watkins, the series blends intense crime drama with sharp psychological insight, following Cross, a brilliant homicide detective and forensic psychologist who excels at understanding the minds of killers.
A New Threat Emerges in Season Two

In season two, Alex Cross finds himself tracking a ruthless vigilante targeting corrupt billionaire magnates, a storyline that raises the stakes both morally and emotionally. The pursuit forces Cross deeper into a shadowy world where justice, power, and vengeance collide, testing his instincts and his limits.
The newly released images hint at a darker, more dangerous chapter, emphasizing the growing scope of the series and the personal toll of Cross’s pursuit.
New Faces Join the Cross Universe

Season two introduces several notable additions to the cast, including Matthew Lillard, alongside Jeanine Mason and Wes Chatham. They join returning cast members Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill, further deepening the ensemble surrounding Cross.
Built on Literary Legacy and Prestige Production

Based on characters created by James Patterson, Cross is executive produced by Watkins, Hodge, Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, J. David Shanks, Aiyana White, Craig Siebels, Owen Shiflett, Bill Robinson, Patrick Santa, and Patterson himself. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios in association with Paramount Television Studios.
With its expanding cast, sharpened focus, and a morally complex new adversary, season two of Cross is shaping up to be a darker, more ambitious continuation of Prime Video’s standout crime thriller.
