The end is here — and it looks ruthless.
STARZ has officially unveiled the first-look teaser and photos for the fifth and final season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan, set to premiere Friday, June 12, with new episodes streaming weekly on Fridays via the STARZ app and all STARZ on-demand platforms.
If the teaser is any indication, this final chapter won’t just close a story. It will cement a legacy.
Kanan’s Final Transformation
Over four seasons, audiences have wattched Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis) wrestle with identity, loyalty, and power. From idolizing his mother Raq to discovering the lies that built her empire, Kanan’s evolution has been defined by betrayal and self-realization.
Season Five signals something darker.
According to STARZ, Kanan’s “true ruthlessness takes shape” as he steps fully into the man he is destined to become. No more shadows. No more hesitation. Just ambition sharpened into purpose.
The teaser hints at what longtime fans have anticipated — the moment where Kanan shifts from young hustler trying to find himself to the cold architect we know from the original Power series.
Breeze Enters the Equation

One of the most significant developments heading into the final season is Kanan’s alliance with Southside legend Breeze, played by Shameik Moore.
For years, Breeze has been a name whispered across the Power Universe timeline. Now, he’s finally here — and his presence suggests the chessboard is about to be flipped.
Together, Kanan and Breeze solidify their place in the Queens drug game, setting off a chain reaction that will impact every faction:
- The Thomas family fighting to hold onto what’s left of their reign
- Unique (Joey Bada$$) battling to preserve his legacy
- The Mafia maneuvering in the background

Season Five promises sacrifices, betrayals, and consequences that will ripple far beyond Queens.
And while this is the final season of Raising Kanan, the tagline makes one thing clear: this is not the end of Kanan Stark. It is only the beginning of who he ultimately becomes.
A Franchise Powerhouse
The numbers underscore the show’s dominance.
Season Four averaged 8 million multiplatform viewers per episode, and the series has amassed more than 21 billion minutes viewed across all episodes to date. That makes Power Book III: Raising Kanan one of STARZ’s top-performing series within the broader Power Universe.
Created by Sascha Penn, who serves as showrunner and executive producer, the series continues to be guided by executive producers Courtney A. Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Mark Canton, and Chris Selak, with Lionsgate Television producing for STARZ.
All four previous seasons are currently available to stream on the STARZ app, making now the perfect time to revisit the rise before the fall.
June 12 is not just a premiere date. It is the start of Kanan Stark’s final transformation.
