STARZ continues to double down on high-stakes, action-driven storytelling with the acquisition of “The Nowhere Man,” a gripping six-episode drama series starring Bonko Khoza (The Woman King) and Naturi Naughton-Lewis (Power, Power Book II: Ghost, Notorious). The series will premiere Friday, January 16, 2026, with new episodes streaming weekly exclusively on the STARZ app and across all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms.
Set against the backdrop of Johannesburg, The Nowhere Man follows Lukas (Khoza), a former Special Forces mercenary haunted by post-traumatic stress disorder. Having walked away from a life defined by violence, Lukas now survives on the fringes of society as a junk collector, determined to remain invisible. That fragile peace shatters when he witnesses a brutal home invasion and intervenes—an act that drags him back into the dangerous world he’s spent years trying to escape.
Forced to confront both external threats and the unresolved trauma of his past, Lukas must face the dark truths behind his former life in order to survive. The series blends pulse-pounding action with psychological depth, positioning The Nowhere Man as a character-driven thriller grounded in emotional consequence.

For Naturi Naughton-Lewis, the series represents a meaningful next chapter—both on screen and behind the camera. Serving as an executive producer through her company Take Two Entertainment, she emphasized the personal and professional significance of the project. “The Nowhere Man represents an exciting evolution for me as both an actress and executive producer,” Naughton-Lewis shared. “It’s especially meaningful to be reunited with my STARZ family to tell a bold, action-packed, globally relevant story. The acquisition further strengthens STARZ’s growing slate of action-focused originals. The Nowhere Man joins a lineup that includes “Power Book IV: Force,” currently airing its third and final season with its series finale also landing on January 16, and “Spartacus: House of Ashur,” STARZ’s highly anticipated return to the iconic franchise’s blood-soaked, dramatic world.
Filmed entirely on location in South Africa, The Nowhere Man was created by Motion Story and produced by Phillip Wolmarans and Nick Keulemans. Fred Wolmarans and Gareth Crocker directed the series, with Crocker also serving as showrunner. Additional executive producers include Chris Lawrance, Colleen Lawrance, Sean Mik’ael Butler, Naturi Naughton-Lewis, and Two Lewis.
