LEGO Star Wars fans, rejoice! LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past launches on Disney+ on September 19, 2025, and picks up the story where the first season left off. Across four episodes, each about 23 minutes long, our favorite Force builder Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo) and Sith breaker Dev (Tony Revolori) face a galaxy-threatening villain, Solitus (Dan Stevens), in a story that combines comedy, adventure, and deep Star Wars lore. Alongside them are Jedi Bob (Bobby Moynihan), Yesi Scala (Marsai Martin), and the emotionally compelling droid Servo (Michael Cusack), with guest appearances from Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Ashley Eckstein as LEGO BrickHeadz™ Ahsoka Tano, and even Billy Dee Williams in a delightful Mandalorian cameo.

The mysterious Solitus (Dan Stevens) wields two chained purple lightsabers in a scene from LEGO® Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past.

This season dives further into the Star Wars universe than ever before, flipping heroes and villains, revisiting deep-cut characters, and offering fans a treasure trove of Easter eggs. The series respects the source material while pushing the LEGO animated format to new heights.

A Galaxy Full of Surprises

(L-R) Dev Greebling (Tony Revolori), Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), and Servo (Michael Cusack), meet Jaxxon (Ben Schwartz) in Forcehold.

From episode to episode, the series never lets up. Episode 2, in particular, takes a strange and wildly unexpected turn, introducing situations so odd that they’ll leave viewers laughing in disbelief. The storytelling jumps between different corners of the galaxy, exploring alternate timelines and hidden lore. Fans will delight in the nods to past Star Wars moments, from iconic character arcs to the carefully placed musical motifs that match each figure’s personality.

The dynamic between Sig and Dev drives the heart of the story. Their brotherly rivalry, combined with a touching family reunion, brings moments of genuine emotion in between the chaos. Even Servo, the droid, goes through an emotional arc that’s both hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt.

Returning Voices and New Faces

(L-R) Jedi Jannah (Naomi Ackie), Yoda (Piotr Michael), Jedi Master Sheev (Trevor Devall), Jedi Jabba the Hutt (Kevin Michael Richardson), Princess Leia (Shelby Young), Greedo (Jake Green), and Jedi Vader (Matt Sloan) in a scene from LEGO® Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past.

The voice cast is a standout. Gaten Matarazzo and Tony Revolori lead with charm and comedic timing, while Bobby Moynihan, Marsai Martin, and Michael Cusack provide excellent support. Ashley Eckstein returns as Ahsoka, bringing the same iconic voice that has delighted fans for years. Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker continues to be a highlight, offering wisdom, humor, and just the right amount of legend. Dan Stevens is a menacing presence as Solitus, raising the stakes across the galaxy. Even Alan Tudyk, Ben Schwartz, and Billy Dee Williams make memorable appearances, tying together the animated and live-action worlds of Star Wars.

Action, Humor, and Lore

(L-R) Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo), Dev Greebling (Tony Revolori), are rescued by Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) in a scene from LEGO® Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past.

The series is unafraid to push boundaries. Good guys become villains and vice versa, classic lines like “May the Force be with you” are everywhere, and even R2-D2 (RD-D2 in this iteration) gets insane moments you won’t see anywhere else. Epic Force building and Sith breaking sequences, inventive world-building, and unexpected humor make every episode a wild ride. The show even manages to balance the zaniness of LEGO antics with the gravitas of Star Wars mythology.

Fans of Star Wars, LEGO, and animated comedy will find this season irresistible. It’s both nostalgic and fresh, overstuffed with Easter eggs, meta jokes, and heartfelt moments. Whether you’re in it for the laughs, the lore, or the action, Pieces of the Past delivers a galaxy-sized adventure that’s impossible to pause.
