The Hollywood Bowl is the place to be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, for Black Movie Soundtrack V, an unforgettable evening celebrating the music that has shaped Black cinema. Starting at 8:00 PM (gates open at 6:00 PM), this star-studded event brings together world-class musicians, performers, and special guests for a high-energy night of entertainment.

Curated by legendary musical director Marcus Miller and hosted by the comedic powerhouse Craig Robinson, the show combines live orchestral performances with unforgettable film moments. The Color of Noize Orchestra, conducted by Derrick Hodge, will provide sweeping arrangements that elevate each performance to cinematic heights.

The night also features some of the most celebrated names in entertainment, including:

About this Performance

“Just when you thought Black Movie Soundtrack could not get any better, it did.” That’s what the LA Sentinel said last time—and we’re gonna do it again. With tributes to Quincy Jones and Prince, a live performance by Sinners’ Miles Caton, a couple of the greatest songs in hip-hop history, D-Nice keeping the party pumping with classic hits, and Derrick Hodge and Color of Noize Orchestra providing the oomph, Black Movie Soundtrack is bigger and better than ever, complete with film clips. Comic and actor Craig Robinson returns as your host on a night led and curated by bassist Marcus Miller and film producer Reginald Hudlin. See you at the movies!
