This biographical film follows Christy Martin (Sydney Sweeney), the most successful female boxer of the 1990s, from her small-town beginnings in West Virginia through her meteoric rise in the ring. Charting her triumphs, her abusive marriage to her trainer/co-husband Jim (Ben Foster), and the physical and emotional scars she endured—including a near-fatal attack in 2010—Christy is both a celebration of her legacy and a powerful look at her resilience and survival. Premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 5, 2025; theatrical release set for November 7, 2025.
