DYNAMITE continued the road towards REVOLUTION 2023 on March 5th as “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson defeated Bandido in the second match of the gauntlet MJF has laid out for his potential challenger. But MJF isn’t done yet with Bryan, not by a long shot…
In addition to that first-class bout, Darby Allin retained his TNT Championship over KUSHIDA in the main event, Orange Cassidy kept the All-Atlantic Title in his possession after defeating Jay Lethal in the night’s opening contest, and the pair of Saraya and Toni Storm surprised everyone by assaulting Willow Nightingale after Storm eked out a victory over Willow…

ONE-ON-ONE…
“Red Death” Daniel Garcia vs. Action Andretti
Action Andretti put himself in the crosshairs of The Jericho Appreciation Society when he beat Chris Jericho, scoring the biggest upset in AEW history several weeks ago. Since then he’s been burned by “The Wizard”, backed up Ricky Starks as The J.A.S. focused on him, and now has to meet the former ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia in singles competition on RAMPAGE this Friday night. Now Garcia has found himself stuck into this mentor-protege situation with Sammy Guevara as of late, something forced upon him by Jericho, and it’s not something that Garcia seems particularly thrilled about, but yet he has gone along with the dynamic. Now, as can be seen in the interview embedded above, Garcia has an opportunity to show what this “big brother” situation has done because, if he beats Action Andretti on RAMPAGE, he will take Sammy’s place in this coming Wednesday night’s tag team bout between The J.A.S. and Ricky Starks/Action Andretti.
Can Andretti go two-for-two in singles bouts with J.A.S. members? Or will Garcia earn his way into DYNAMITE’s tag team bout this coming Wednesday? We shall see how it all goes down in RAMPAGE’s main event!
TAG TEAM BOUT…
TBS Champion Jade Cargill & Leila Grey in action!
As the TBS Champion approaches the 50th consecutive victory in her undefeated streak, Jade Cargill will be in tag team action this Friday night on RAMPAGE alongside her lone remaining Baddie, Leila Grey! It seems quite clear that Red Velvet has her eyes on the prize Jade has been sporting for over a year now, will she be the next competitor to step up to the challenge to try and end this streak? Or could we see Jade and Leila’s opponents this Friday bring an end to the streak? It’s always a risk in tag team action that Leila could inadvertently be the one to get a blemish on Jade’s record, will that be the case Friday night on TNT?
REMATCH…
“The Machine” Brian Cage vs. Willie Mack
“The Machine” Brian Cage and Willie Mack are no strangers to one another, in fact they’ve been a part of each other’s professional careers for well over a dozen years, having had their first match back in November of 2009 in Anaheim, California. Since then they’ve battled in singles bouts, multi-man contests, tag team battles, and championship bouts, and while their one-on-one records tilts in the favor of Mack (10-8), their last two meetings went in favor of “The Machine”, most important being their bout just a few days ago on DARK: ELEVATION!
But even that was a win in which Cage barely escaped with the victory, so now Willie has a second chance to even their AEW score this Friday night on RAMPAGE! A new wrinkle in the tapestry of this long-time rivalry was added by MJF though as he essentially put a bounty on Dragon ahead of Cage’s bout with Danielson next Wednesday night. The last thing “The Machine” needs is to suffer a defeat just prior to facing one of the best wrestlers in the world today, and find himself fighting from underneath. Willie Mack has the edge over Brian Cage in their history together, with that loss from ELEVATION serving as fuel to redeem himself on RAMPAGE; can Mack get it done against The Embassy’s machine?
HEAD-TO-HEAD…
“All Ego” Ethan Page vs. “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry
The men surrounding Stokely Hathaway have had their issues with Jungle Boy over the last several weeks, with Big Bill and Lee Moriarty trying to take him and HOOK down at the Forum, but coming up short in their tag team meeting.
That’s why this Friday night on RAMPAGE, “All Ego” Ethan Page is stepping up to the plate for Stokely and going head-to-head with the former AEW World Tag Team Champion! This match is a first-time battle between these two warriors, and clearly Page is bringing his rage with him based on that interview embedded above.
Can The Firm get back at “Jungle Boy” for humiliating them in Los Angeles?
THE MAD KING” SPEAKS…
https://www.youtube.com/embed/WawzTFKV4zM
There is certainly unrest in the relationship between Eddie Kingston and Ortiz, unrest only exacerbated by the events of last week’s RAMPAGE and their bout with The Kings of The Black Throne. This week on RAMPAGE, we anticipate hearing from “The Mad King” about these issues and what they mean for the long-time friendship between him and Ortiz, but what does Ortiz have to say about all this drama being stirred up by Malakai and the HoB?
